Answers to common questions and misconceptions about being Born Again

In this section, we'll explore what it truly means to be 'born again', why it's a significant part of certain faiths, and how it impacts one's spiritual journey. We'll also debunk some myths that might have been causing confusion. Remember, no question is too big or small, and it's never too late to learn and grow in your faith. So, let's embark on this enlightening journey together!

  1. Question: What does it mean to be "born again"? Answer: Being "born again" is a term often used in Christianity to describe a spiritual rebirth. It's about experiencing a personal transformation and starting a new life with a renewed focus on faith. It's not a physical rebirth, but a spiritual one.

  2. Misconception: Being born again means you're perfect. Answer: Not at all. Being born again doesn't mean you're suddenly perfect or without flaws. It means you've made a commitment to strive towards living a life that aligns with your faith. Everyone makes mistakes, and being born again is about learning and growing from those mistakes. You are forgiven for your sins because of Jesus' sacrifice, and you have a new desire to turn away from sin and live in a way that honors God.

  3. Question: How can someone be born again? Answer: The process of being born again varies among different Christian denominations. Generally, it involves a personal decision to accept Jesus Christ, repent for past sins, and commit to living a life guided by Christian principles. It's often accompanied by baptism, but the specifics can depend on the individual's personal beliefs and their church's teachings.

  4. Misconception: Once you're born again, you can't sin anymore. Answer: This is a common misconception. Being born again doesn't mean you're incapable of sinning. It means you're striving to live a life that aligns with Christian values. Everyone is human and makes mistakes. The key is to seek forgiveness, learn from your mistakes, and continue to grow in your faith.

  5. Question: Do you have to be born again to go to heaven?Answer: According to John 3:3, Jesus states that unless one is born again, they cannot see the kingdom of God. Many interpret this to mean that being born again is a necessary step in achieving eternal life in heaven.

Saved Souls

I grew up in a household, where learning about the Bible wasn’t just something we did on Sunday. It was something I learned to make a part of my everyday life. Glorifying God was more than just worship music and reading your Bible. It was about honoring and glorifying God in everything that I did and everything that I said, and being an example of his love to others.
I went off to college and I found myself struggling with sin and allowing negative influences to impact my walk with God. Spring of 2019, I went on my first mission trip to Guatemala. and it reignited something in me. It was an opportunity to get away from all the noise of the world, the cell phones, social media and connect with God through serving others.  And from that moment on, I rededicated my life to Christ,  living to please God and serve other people. There is no such thing as a perfect road only a road filled with grace and mercy from God. I’m thankful that as a child, I was given something  more than fun vacation trips , more than the nicest clothes, I was given the opportunity to genuinely encounter Christ. And  my life has never been the same since. Glory be to God.
